Evita Shen is a passionate permie who is enthusiastic about healthy good food. She's been on a Permaculture journey with her husband for the last 15 years in Australia and in Tuatapere since 2023. In this time, she's been mastering the art of sourdough bread, fermenting everything she grows for kimchi, sauerkraut, or lacto-veggies, she makes yogurt, cheese and tofu, brews kombucha and more. She loves growing nutrient dense foods and then turning them into delicious, gut-friendly delicacies, as well as promoting the benefits of fermented foods on gut health and overall wellbeing.
Grow Wānaka is thrilled to host Evita for an Activated Foods Workshop where she walks us through what activated foods are, what's activated, how to active it, and provides a demo/tasting plus Q&A.
The Workshop will run from 11:30am to 1:00pm on Sunday March 8th at Grow Wānaka Community Garden.
